Meeting Claudio Abbado for the first time, this is one of the best parts of Gabriele's interview. In Gabriele's opinion, a sense of strong friendship permeated the Orchestra and this is why the mix between étoiles and young musicians worked so well and made possible a constant evolution and improvement. At the end of the interview Gabriele touchingly describes the cello, portraying it as something that is somehow “inside” the musician.
