The Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna is glad to announce that the Orchestra Mozart will take part in the 68th edition of the Ravello Festival. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, September 5. The Orchestra will be directed for the first time by Maestro Daniele Gatti, its new musical director.
“It is our pleasure to inform you of this – states Loris Azzaroni, President of the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna – we will soon get inspired again by the Orchestra Mozart’s music and we will do that during an event as prestigious as the Ravello Festival. The atmosphere will be more unique than ever, as for the first time the Orchestra will be conducted by its new musical director, Maestro Daniele Gatti. We have been waiting for this moment since he was nominated as such in May 2019. The first event should have been this year, during Easter, with some concerts in Lugano, followed by the Orchestra Mozart Festival in Bologna, concerts which have been unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That is why Maestro Gatti will firstly debut together with the Orchestra Mozart on the occasion of the 68th edition of the Ravello Festival”.
For the Ravello Festival, Saturday, September 5, the Orchestra Mozart will be composed of thirty musicians and will perform Schubert's Symphony No. 5 in B flat major, D. 485, Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, and Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550.
