Dear audience,
We are sending you this notice to inform you about the options and terms of refunding the tickets purchased for the Orchestra Mozart Festival 2020 concerts, which we were forced to cancel due to the COVID19 emergency.
As specified below, you can apply for a total cash refund of the purchased ticket or, in accordance with article 88 of law decree no. 18/2020, you can apply for a voucher worth the value of the purchased ticket and which is valid one year from the date of issue for events organised by the Regia Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna.
We kindly request you, in either case, to pay special attention to the dates within which you can apply for a refund or voucher.
We added a third option to whoever wishes to help us in such a hard time by joining the national initiative #IONONCHIEDOILRIMBORSO (I do not apply for a refund), launched to support the ones who work in the field of culture and who are tight now suffering enormous damage because of the total suspension of shows. Choosing this option, namely by not applying for a refund or voucher, you can turn your purchase into a donation for the Orchestra Mozart. The donations would help us partially to bear the expenses in which we already occurred to organise the festival and partially to plan with greater support and energy the future Orchestra Mozart concerts.

How to apply for a cash refund
By April 15th, you have to send an email to segreteria@accademiafilarmonica.it with a cash refund request, indicating the name of the ticket holder, the show(s) for which you are applying for a refund and the bank details (IBAN) for refunding the amount. Moreover:
- If you purchased the ticket or season ticket at a ticket desk (Bologna Welcome, Accademia Filarmonica, retailer Vivaticket) and you thus have a paper ticket, you need to attach a clear and legible, in any part, double-sided copy of the purchased ticket to the refund request. The copy can be made with a scan or photo (for example with a smartphone) as long as it is well-focused.
- if you purchased the ticket or season ticket online via Vivaticket, you need to attach the electronic ticket or the purchase receipt to the refund request.
- If you paid via bank transfer to the Accademia Filarmonica, you just have to apply for the refund giving the above-mentioned information.
The amount will be returned to the indicated bank account by Friday 22 May 2020.
How to apply for a voucher
By April 16th, you have to send an email to segreteria@accademiafilarmonica.it with a voucher request, indicating the name of the ticket holder and the show(s) for which you are applying for a voucher. Moreover:
- If you purchased the ticket or season ticket at a ticket desk (Bologna Welcome, Accademia Filarmonica, retailer Vivaticket) and you have thus a paper ticket, you need to attach a clear and legible, in any part, double-sided copy of the purchased ticket to the refund request. The copy can be made with a scan or photo (for example with a smartphone) as long as it is well-focused.
- if you purchased the ticket or season ticket online via Vivaticket, you need to attach the electronic ticket or the purchase receipt to the refund request.
- If you paid via bank transfer to the Accademia Filarmonica, you just have to apply for the refund giving the above-mentioned information.
The voucher will be issued within 30 days after its request. This voucher substitutes the cash refund and, as said, is valid within 12 months from the date of issue for events organized by the Regia Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna.
How to make a donation (waiving of refund)
By April 16th, we ask you to send an email to segreteria@accademiafilarmonica.it expressing your wish to waive the refund of the purchased ticket(s), indicating the name of the holder and the show(s) for which you purchased the ticket. If you purchased more than one ticket, for example the season ticket for the Orchestra Mozart Festival and the ticket for the Concert Preview, you can waive the refund of one or some of the purchased tickets by applying anyways for a refund, cash or voucher, for the remaining part.
We will be very grateful to you, no matter your choice and decision. Whoever will choose to waive the refund, totally or partially, will be added to the list of our supporters and will be officially thanked in dedicated areas (online and on printed materials). If you do not wish to have your name published, you just have to inform us.
