Oboe
“OM must play again, it is part of Abbado’s musical heritage”
Carlos Del Ser Guillén - Oboe
Carlos del Ser, in the Orchestra Mozart, felt that Abbado gave him the opportunity to feel at ease while having an in-depth analysis of music he already knew. He really enjoyed the spirit of friendship that he found in the Orchestra; every project had a natural innovative approach. To him, Orchestra Mozart is an idea, an attitude made of passion and love for music. “Abbado succeeded in creating an Orchestra of excellence but perceived by the musicians as a group of friends”. He is extremely interested in this new phase of OM and looking forward to future productions.
Born in Valladolid (Spain), he started studying music when he was 8 at the Conservatory of his hometown. Once he graduated in oboe in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Salamanca, he continued his studies with the professors Roland Perrenoud and Maurice Bourgue in the Haute Ecole de Musique of Geneva where he obtained a diploma of orchestral musician and a diploma of soloist “avec Distinction”. He then specialized in the Hochschule für Musik of Freiburg and in Breisgau in the class of professor Lucas Macìas Navarro.
