The Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna is delighted to announce the 2026 programme of the Orchestra Mozart, conducted by Maestro Daniele Gatti.
The 2025 season featured two ambitious programmes, designed and dedicated to the audiences who have supported the Orchestra over these first twenty years and celebrated this important milestone with it.
The first concert of the 2026 season will take place on 17 September at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna, and the day before, on 16 September, in Ferrara at the Teatro Comunale. The programme will open with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture in C minor, followed by Richard Wagner’s symphonic poem Siegfried-Idyll. The evening will conclude with Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 in E flat major, the Rhenish.
The Orchestra Mozart will then return to Bologna for a final concert on 4 December at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni, having performed at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine on the 3rd. The programme features works by four great composers: Carl Maria von Weber (marking the centenary of the composer’s death), with the overture to Oberon; Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy with the overture to Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt; Robert Schumann, with the overture to Genoveva; and Johannes Brahms with Symphony No. 1 in C minor.
The Accademia Filarmonica’s activities and concerts are organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Emilia-Romagna Region and, under an agreement, the Municipality of Bologna | Culture and Creativity Department, as part of the initiatives of Bologna, a UNESCO City of Music.
Special thanks go to Alfasigma S.p.A. for the increasingly active support it has shown the Philharmonic Academy for many years. Alfasigma S.p.A. supports high-quality music at every level: from concerts by established musicians on the Italian and international scene, such as those by the Mozart Orchestra Soloists, to concerts by the new generation of talent from Italy’s finest music schools, who perform as part of the ‘Il Sabato all’Accademia’ series. Finally, we would like to thank Alfasigma S.p.A. for its commitment to bringing the beauty of music to an ever-wider audience, starting with its own employees and their families, who have participated with great enthusiasm in the guided tours organised for them by the Academy and in the chamber concerts in the Sala Mozart and the Mozart Orchestra’s performances at the Auditorium Manzoni.
