#iononvoglioilrimborso Thank you all!

The Accademia Filarmonica wishes to thank publicly all those who, having bought the ticket or subscription in advance for the Orchestra Mozart Festival, notwithstanding the cancellation of the events due to the Covid-19 emergency, did not ask for a refund thus donating the sum to the Accademia Filarmonica.

In such a difficult moment, where bad news are sadly common, we believe it’s important to communicate good news too, that give us strength for the present and hope for the future. The Orchestra Mozart Festival should have begun tonight, in Bologna, with the opening concert conducted by Maestro Daniele Gatti, dedicated to Beethoven and Prokof’ev, and it should have lasted until this Sunday with events and concerts throughout the city. All this won’t take place but a beautiful thing is happening nevertheless: more than a hundred and fifty people – more than a half of all those who had bought a ticket within mid-February when, due to the emergency, the promotion had stopped – have decided not to ask for a refund thus supporting the Orchestra’s future concerts.

We believe that this unconditional generosity, this renunciation of something to support music, this demonstration of solidarity, which moves us and makes us deeply thankful, is not only a beautiful gesture for us and the Orchestra Mozart, but also an encouraging sign for our community and our city, and this is the reason why we want to publicly say “thank you”.

Finally, we invite all music lovers to check the Orchestra Mozart’s Facebook page and Instagram profile to enjoy the OM Virtual Festival: exclusive videos and comments by the OM musicians with music tips and much more; a beautiful way to say thank you and to feel closer to their public.
