THE THIRD SECTOR
For 2009, the Orchestra Mozart and the Philharmonic Academy have reserved some of their musical events for the Third Sector. These include free access to Dress Rehearsals, and in some cases, special offers for those wishing to attend concerts.
The dates and types of special offer will be sent each time via email or letter to the organisations with special agreements, as well as being published on the website of Orchestra Mozart. Organisations will be informed as far in advance as possible, depending on the timing and the organisational requirements of the Orchestra.
By "Third Sector", we mean the organisations linked to the world of non-governmental, non-profit associations, for the protection of human and social rights, social enterprise and voluntary work, schools, universities, training and adult education.
How to have an agreement
In order to participate in the initiative, schools, cultural associations and musical organisations must do the following things:
Sign the enrolment form for 2009
Produce a copy of their Statute
Once the agreement has been reached, the organisation must appoint somebody to be in charge of relationships with the Third Sector, and they must deal with communication, gathering support and collecting tickets
Who can have an agreement
Non-profit cultural associations with educational or instructive objectives
Voluntary, social enterprise or philanthropic associations
Musical associations with educational or instructive objectives
Universities and student associations
Secondary schools
Categories or groups of socially disadvantaged people (e.g. prisoners, disabled people, immigrants, etc.)
Trade union clubs
Benefits
- Free attendance of Open Rehearsals in 2009. The availability of seats for open rehearsals will be announced by the Third Sector Office each time. Requests from associations will be examined on a case by case basis, and the number of association members will also be considered when it comes to the distribution of seats.
- Concerts reserved for the "Third Sector" with reduced ticket prices or special offers.
