“What we felt when we played together is still burning and it cannot be stopped!”Josè Vicente Castello - First horn
He started playing the horn, as it was very usual in the region where he comes from in Spain. He was part of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the joined the Orchestra Mozart; he remembers very well the first rehearsal with Claudio Abbado; they were really excited to play all together in a new formation, bubbling with youth and love for music. Josè is amazed by the incredible evolution OM did in just 10 years - from something completely new and unknown to international tours and celebrated recordings with a high and ever growing level of quality. He therefore feels that the Orchestra is ready to play again in the whole world as the musicians have the capacities to do it.
